I'm back... Maybe lol

So I have been crafting a bit and yes I haven't kept my promises of trying to keep the blog updated.

God kind of laid another project on my heart and I have been giving it the attention I could give it.

I started another blog.  A bit more revealing which is not my style at all and very personal and hits my heart like nothing else can.  I've started a grieving blog.   I've been on this grieving journey for a while and never had anyone or anywhere to really go and talk to someone. Never had a guide or someone to tell me hey this is what might happen. So God had it on my heart and I resisted and then one day I just did it.

If you know anyone or are going through it personally, I welcome you over to http://diaryofagrievingheart.blogspot.com/ (Diary of A Grieving Heart).   I have a bit more work to do over there but I guess I can start exposing it to others.  And if you have any suggestions please let me know.

I promise I will post soon! My son has been sick and the hubby has been away.

God bless you and everyone you encounter!

HELLO!! Hello!!

I've been really busy with our church's grand opening on our new building.  I haven't had time to update or  get in to any crafts. Thankfully this upcoming weekend I will be able to drown myself in craft heaven. I'm really excited about some things I've been seeing on other blogs lately.

One of my "planned" projects is an advent calendar that Jill from Homemade by Jill. It's an ADVENT CALENDAR!! Don't know what this?  I didn't either until recently.  I'm really excited about it since my son always wants to "help" me with my crafts and this would be something he can grow up helping me with each year!

By the way this weekend I hit up Wally World and they were selling the costumes for guess how much?  Can you guess? You won't believe it! 25 CENTS!!
Here's an example of one I grabbed and ran with:
Isn't my son adorable?? My little pea pod. I just love him so much. Allowing his momma to put him in costumes without a fight. He is so awesome!

I will update you guys soon with some new projects. Till then stay safe and God bless!

Garden Gnome Photo Shoot

I am a woman of many hobbies. Most people don't understand what I call my unconventional method to life but I have many interests. Lately I've really been motivated to finally start learning about photography. I never voiced it since I was worried that people would say "Here she goes again." (Some people who I have mistakenly voiced my interests with have which kind of made me feel like a failure but as my sister says she is the only one with the right to question me. She is actually being my cheer leader on this which has warmed my heart and motivated me. :) How I love my dear sister!

Anyways here are some of the photos from my first real attempt at photography. ^_^ Enjoy!!

The model is my son and all photos are copywritten. So if you would like to share this, then please let me know ahead of time and link me! Thanks and God bless!!

This is my son's halloween costume!
He's a Garden Gnome.
I really love this picture and want to enlarge it and throw it on my wall.
Even though it doesn't show his face, it kind of shows how small he is.
He's going to be 1 (1/2) in December and time just flies by so fast.
Sometimes we just have to stop, capture a moment and then live in that moment.
Enjoy everyday and cherish every moment. That's what I'm trying to do at least. :)

Pillowcase Dress

I don't have anything to show that I've made recently but as soon as I do I will share it. :)
Here's a pillowcase dress I made for my beautiful niece.

She is such a good model. She was leaving back to Alaska so I had to take the pictures quickly before they left.

A Little About Me

Hello Everyone!

My Name is Sheryl Ann and I'm a wife to Mr. R, a mother of one, the youngest daughter, and a sister to four. Right now I am a stay at home mommy to Little A. He's 1 (1/2) and just amazing all around. We love to read and do all kinds of things together. Mr. A and I love to go exploring whether it be in the mountains or just in the neighboring cities. He is an amazing cook and a wonderful husband on most days. ^ _^

I absolutely adore my family and love making things to give to others. I would love to own my own store one day with all my little knit knacks. I really want to learn more on how to sew as it's really my passion to make things. My creativity and just overall love for crafts comes from an amazing woman who raised me, my Grandmother Luly. She passed away this year and my love for crafts has been a little burden since it reminds me so much of her. However, I know she would want me to continue to create so here I go.

I appreciate any help on the way and if you want to know how I made something. Just let me know!

May God bless you and everyone you encounter!
